FM Qureshi lauds Aman ki Asha

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said a big chunk of Indian population wants friendly relations with Pakistan.

In an exclusive interview with Geo News, he said ‘Aman ki Asha’—a joint venture by Jang Group and Times of India has set a bright precedent.

India and Pakistan have consensus in favour of composite talks ; however, the political parties of India are divided on the issue.

The mature strata in India have come round to that their good relations with Pakistan is in their own interest, adding thus a new brilliant example has been established that Times of India, which used to be an extremely biased newspaper, is today toeing the line with Jang Group.

He termed it a great metamorphosis, saying, this is a change in thinking pattern and indicates that Pakistan’s stance of negotiations is the only solution of the issue.

The FM Qureshi said the bilateral negotiations are more likely to set off and all political parties are one on the issue.

55_7-03-2011_1.jpgThe News on Sunday Special Report: India Pakistan prisoners
We probably didn't need to do this Special Report. Newspaper stories don't matter when it comes to Indians in Pakistani jails and vice versa. In fact, 'vice versa' sums it up. We do to them what they do to us.

Except when the two countries decide to begin talking, yet again! This time a little before the foreign secretary level talks, some Pakistani prisoners were released by India (and vice versa must have happened) and some more were release....read more
