Over the last two years, I have been in contact with Indian colleagues through the Journal of Pakistan Medical Students. This working platform, which aims to bring a research revolution in the region, has helped me to learn more about Indian people. I find them the same as the Pakistanis I work with. We have the same culture, sentiments, feelings and manners. Even our food tastes the same.
I also have family ties with Indians which makes me feel another step closer to them. I watch Indian movies and love Bollywood music as much Hollywood. I enjoy watching India-Pakistan cricket, which unfortunately has not been frequent in the past few years. There have been many conflicts between these two great nations; however there is light at the end of the tunnel. The way to peace is to learn about each other and make friends. The more we work with each other, the more we get to know each other. The money spent on war games can be spent on the poor who are dying of hunger or diseases. Let's work and pray for a better future."

The News on Sunday Special Report: India Pakistan prisoners
We probably didn't need to do this Special Report. Newspaper stories don't matter when it comes to Indians in Pakistani jails and vice versa. In fact, 'vice versa' sums it up. We do to them what they do to us.
Except when the two countries decide to begin talking, yet again! This time a little before the foreign secretary level talks, some Pakistani prisoners were released by India (and vice versa must have happened) and some more were release....read more
